Side I Couture has made it a mission to create opportunities for talented crochetors to simultaneously fulfill their mental and physical health prerequisites, indulge their social whims, and fuel their side hustle urges. Embracing their own thrill-seeking nature and respect for the great innovators of the past, the founders of Side I Couture decided to build a crochet circle that was "not your granny's circle," thus Crochet Train was born.
CrochetTrain.com offers crochet enthusiasts and experts, alike, a chance to both sit and relax, or get up and dance, with great music and good company while learning unique and hip crochet patterns and completing crochet challenge projects for extra clout (and sometimes prizes!) All while knowing a portion of the proceeds from their efforts go to help urban youth, locally and nationwide, get opportunities to learn and practice therapeutic crafting & arts, beneficial entrepreneurial skills and empowering extra-curricular activities.
Crochet Train members have an opportunity to meet in-person with local music performers during each monthly taping of it's own Crochet Train show, a live-filmed dance fashion social with vendors. Crochet Train is the best place around to see up-close and personal how crochet and other fiber fashion artists get jazzy with their needles and jiggy with their dance moves!
